AirQuality Sense
A multi-channel air quality and gas measurement probe for industrial interiors.
Continuously measures the composition of ambient air in production halls, control rooms, warehouses, battery and UPS rooms, server rooms and generator cabinets. Temperature, humidity, pressure, TVOC, eCO₂, carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide channels are combined on a single compact probe.
- IP40
- CAN-FD
- Modbus TCP
AirQuality Sense continuously measures the composition of ambient air in production halls, control rooms, warehouses, battery and UPS rooms, server rooms and generator cabinets.
Temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, total volatile organic compounds (TVOC), equivalent CO₂, carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide channels are combined on a single compact probe.
Operating principle
All channels pass through a Kalman filter on the probe and are reported both as an instantaneous value and as a trend. The filtered trend data is stable enough to be used in occupational health and safety reporting. The measurement results let ventilation performance be verified against measured data rather than an assumed air change rate. In battery and UPS rooms, outgassing is detected before a fault escalates.
Shared infrastructure
AirQuality Sense shares the same enclosure, field bus and register model as ArcFire Sense. Fire early-warning probes and air quality probes can run together on the same CAN-FD infrastructure at one site.
Key features
- Seven measurement channels combined on a single 72 mm probe.
- Ventilation performance verified against measured data rather than an assumed air change rate.
- Carbon monoxide monitoring in generator rooms and enclosed vehicle areas.
- Early outgassing detection in battery and UPS rooms via the hydrogen and TVOC channels.
- Occupancy load and ventilation adequacy tracked through eCO₂ and air quality index trends.
- Shares field bus, register model and mounting hardware with ArcFire Sense.

Frequently asked questions
Can AirQuality Sense and ArcFire Sense be used together on the same site?
Yes. The two probes share the same enclosure, field bus and register model. Fire early-warning probes and air quality probes can run together on the same CAN-FD infrastructure at one site, with no separate cabling and no separate driver development.
Can the measurements be used for health and safety reporting?
All channels pass through a Kalman filter on the probe and are reported both as an instantaneous value and as a trend. The filtered trend data is stable enough to be used in occupational health and safety reporting.
How does it verify ventilation adequacy?
The measurement results let ventilation performance be verified against measured data rather than an assumed air change rate. eCO₂ and air quality index trends show the occupancy load and how adequate the ventilation actually is.
What does it detect in battery and UPS rooms?
In battery and UPS rooms, outgassing is detected via the hydrogen and TVOC channels before a fault escalates. In generator rooms and enclosed vehicle areas, the carbon monoxide channel is monitored.
