The difference between assumption and measurement
A server room’s ventilation is sized at design time around an assumed air change rate. That assumption is correct when the system is first commissioned. It stops being correct once a filter clogs, a fan slows down, or more equipment is installed in the room than planned — but without a measurement showing it, nobody notices.
AirQuality Sense continuously measures temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, TVOC, equivalent CO₂, carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide channels on a single compact probe. eCO₂ and air quality index trends show the occupancy load and how adequate the ventilation actually is.
Battery and UPS rooms
Hydrogen release from lead-acid batteries under charge is expected; what matters is its level and its trend. A battery going into overcharge or a cell degrading produces a measurable rise in the hydrogen and TVOC channels. The probe detects that change before the fault escalates.

Can the measurements be used for health and safety reporting?
All channels pass through a Kalman filter on the probe and are reported both as an instantaneous value and as a trend. The filtered trend data is stable enough to be used in occupational health and safety reporting.
