Schools and public buildings
See the risk in a busy building before anyone else notices it.
Schools, dormitories, cultural centres and administrative buildings are heavily used but thinly staffed on the technical side. The electrical infrastructure is often older than the building itself, and a problem inside a panel usually gets noticed only once it has become a fault.
Contact
A busy building with a thin technical team
In a school or dormitory the electrical infrastructure is older than the building itself and carries loads added over many years. At the same time, these buildings rarely have a permanent maintenance engineer on site; a technical team typically serves several buildings.
When those two conditions meet, a problem inside a panel usually gets noticed only once it has turned into a fault.
What monitoring buys
ArcFire Sense is mounted inside main and floor distribution panels to measure the leading indicators of fire risk. The system’s critical property here is that it adds no load to a thin technical team: because each panel is evaluated against its own reference signature, there is no threshold tuning at installation and no routine calibration.
In older buildings where cable infrastructure is unsuitable, the WiFi Module (CM-W100) gives the IQ Panel a retrofit uplink over the existing site network.
Classroom air
On the same field bus, AirQuality Sense measures eCO₂ and the air quality index in classrooms and assembly halls. In crowded enclosed spaces, ventilation adequacy is verified against measured data rather than a design assumption.

Frequently asked questions
Is cabling a problem in older buildings?
The field bus is a daisy chain; a single cable run serves every probe in a panel group and no dedicated run per probe is needed. Where cable cannot be run to the site network, the WiFi Module (CM-W100) provides a retrofit uplink.
Our technical staff is limited — does the system need constant tuning?
No. Each panel is evaluated against its own reference signature, so no manual threshold definition is needed on site. Firmware and model files update over the network, with no site visit required.
Can air quality be monitored in classrooms and halls?
Yes. The eCO₂ and air quality index channels on AirQuality Sense show occupancy load and ventilation adequacy from measured data — removing the need for an assumed air change calculation in crowded enclosed spaces.
Does installation disrupt the academic or service term?
Probes are installed without cutting power and with no mechanical modification to the panel enclosure; no building evacuation or planned outage is needed for installation.
